Khanh Nguyen
Born into an artistic family, Khanh grew up surrounded by art and fashion at a very young age. Having a father as a talented artist and a mother with twenty years of bridal design, creativity was fused within her before she could even walk or talk.
Designing provides the perfect outlet for her to channel creativity and connect her vision with the public. She is completely hands-on in every aspect of the design and construction process from exploring ideas, drawing sketches, draping and pattern making, sewing, up until the finished end product. Khanh describes her line as classic with a modern twist, feminine, and conceptual. Her inspirations come from art, travel, different cultures, nature and everyday life experiences. Intricate beading, hand-painted details, personal touches and superior craftsmanship is her specialty and where hints of Khanh’s signature surfaces.
Khanh’s work has been highly recognized, and in 2008, she took home numerous fashion design awards including: Most Creative Designer Award at the UNT ArtWear Fashion Design Competition, 1st PLACE for Best of Show of FGI of Houston Career Day Design Competition and the coveted, Top Achievement Award for Fashion Group International of Dallas Career Day Design Competition, which gave her a ticket to the world’s finest fashion capital, Paris. She spent over a month and a half training intensively by world leading fashion professionals and practiced the haute couture techniques of Nina Ricci, draping methods of Madame Gres, millinery skills from Jean Paul Gaultier, and crafting of handbags and accessories from Anne Valerie Hash. She has sewn all of her love for making beautiful clothes and extensive training techniques altogether seamlessly into her collections and you can follow her path to success through her fashion shows and upcoming events. Khanh Nguyen was born to make clothes and has an insatiable passion for art and fashion, and she wants to follow her mother’s legacy one dress at a time.
